Earl Parker Educational Assistance Grant

1st Street Credit Union assists with the educational needs of our membership by providing funds to deserving students who wish to further their education.  Annually, the credit union awards a  limited number of grants to deserving members who have an account in good standing with 1SCU.  The number and amount of grants are determined annually by the Board of Directors.

Currently, the Board is pleased to announce that they will award up to two grants in the amount of $1,000 each.

The Credit Union will award a grant to a qualified member in good standing who is enrolled in a course of study at:

  • An accredited public or private college or university.
  • An accredited community college.
  • An accredited trade or technical school.

Educational Assistance Grant recipients are selected without regard to age, disability, gender, marital status, national origin, race, religion, sexual orientation or veteran status.  Employees or volunteers of 1SCU, its affiliates or members of their immediate families are not eligible for the Educational Assistance Grant.  Prior winners are not eligible.

Interested members can click the link below for a printable application with a list of guidelines.  Applications are also available for pick up in person at 1SCU.

Applicants must read and follow the guidelines on the application exactly in order to be considered.  Applications must be returned to the credit union by the close of business on the last Friday of April.  The  grants are awarded no later than June 30th of each year.
